Pool Opening Delay

Winchester Country and Aura Aquatics is continuing to monitor the ever-changing COVID-19 pandemic and the impact to all. The safety and well-being of our employees and customers continues to be our top priority!

Although we all hoped the fifteen day stay at home order would end and life would return to normal, we now know we have a long way to go. On Sunday March 29th, President Trump extended social distancing requirements through April 30th and all local school districts have confirmed classes will resume no earlier than May 4th. The American Red Cross has cancelled all Lifeguard Training due to the fact it’s impossible to practice lifeguarding skills while maintaining social distancing. IF everything returns to normal May 1st, which we believe is unlikely, it’s possible we MAY be able to staff and open some pools by Memorial Day weekend and stagger the opening of other pools as lifeguards complete their training. President Trump recently suggested the US should be “back to normal” by June 1st. If social distancing requirements stay in place through May we are looking at a possible opening date of July 1st. Unfortunately, it’s still too soon to tell.

Winchester Country and Aura Aquatics in continuing to prepare for the season to ensure we are physically ready to open as soon as restrictions are removed. We are completing pre-season equipment inspections, removing and cleaning pool furniture, cleaning facility rooms and delivering supplies needed to open the pools (minus antibacterial soap and hand sanitizer). As soon as personnel is available to open our pool we will be ready!

We are continuing to provide essential services including contracted pool maintenance and approved pool repairs.

If you have any questions please let us know. Stay safe and be well!
